Eastern Wharf, a vibrant, mixed-use neighborhood overlooking the Savannah River in Savannah, Ga., is thrilled to launch Food Truck Thursdays beginning Thursday, April 2. This waterfront community will host multiple food trucks every Thursday evening from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Eastern Wharf Community Lot at 400 Passage Way, adjacent to Stevedore Bakery. The events are free and open to the public.
The weekly scheduled lineup of trucks reinforces Eastern Wharf’s ongoing commitment to Savannah's food truck culture. Eastern Wharf is known for its annual Food Truck Festival, which takes place every fall, and for showcasing a wide range of food trucks at monthly riverfront concerts and signature annual events.
“We wanted to put a stake in the ground and have a weekly food truck schedule that residents and visitors alike can count on every Thursday,” said Kayne Lanahan, Executive Director of Eastern Wharf’s Commercial District programming. “We’ll have a food truck court set up with tables and chairs and a place to visit and linger with friends and family.”
In addition to regularly scheduled food trucks, the Savannah Sunset Market will be on-site at Eastern Wharf’s Community Lot on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. with a Farmer’s Market featuring up to 20 vendors offering fresh and prepared foods, live music, fresh oysters and more. April 30 - Chazitos, Oh Crepe
