Welcome to The Park at Eastern Wharf!

The Park at Eastern Wharf is private property but the space is open to the public during normal operating hours (dawn to dusk), apart from sections and dates reserved for private events. If you are interested in booking a special event, please fill out our event application form here.


Parents and/or guardians are responsible for their children’s safety at Eastern Wharf.


Visitors must comply with directions from Eastern Wharf staff and security personnel, or they will be asked to leave the space.


Skateboarding is prohibited.

Firearms and other weapons are prohibited in the park.

Fireworks, sparklers, bottle rockets and other pyrotechnics are expressly prohibited in the park.


As mandated by Chatham County and the City of Savannah Animal Control Ordinances, Dogs must be on a leash at all times. Leashes may not be longer than 6ft. All owners must pick up after their dogs. Pet Waste stations are provided throughout the park


Litter must be deposited in a trash receptacle, including ice and liquids. Rummaging in receptacles is prohibited.


You are welcome to sit on the grass; personal lawn chairs are only allowed during public community events. Picnic blankets are allowed if they can be permeated by water; tarps are not allowed on the lawn. Erecting tents or other structures is prohibited, as is driving stakes into the ground for any reason without a permit issued by The Park at Eastern Wharf.


You’re welcome to bring outside food and drinks into Eastern Wharf, but no large coolers or glass containers are permitted. Coolers are limited to small, personal coolers no bigger than 20” x 20”. Patrons 21 years of age and older with valid ID can carry one alcoholic beverage within the parameters of the Historic District (including Eastern Wharf) as long as those beverages are held in a transparent plastic or city issued, 16–ounce aluminum cup. No bottles, mugs, open alcoholic beverages in cans or flasks are allowed. The Park at Eastern Wharf enforces City of Savannah rules on alcohol consumption.


We also encourage all of our park patrons to support the local restaurants and bars at Eastern Wharf. Their success helps fund The Park and the many free community events we put on.


The Eastern Wharf dock is open to the public, it is first-come, first served (No reservations accepted). The first three hours are free. For longer or overnight stays, please call (912) 651-3634, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., after 5 p.m. and on holidays leave a message, someone will call you back. When calling please provide your name, your phone number (cell) and the length of the vessel.


Entering The Park at Eastern Wharf or participating in or attending an Eastern Wharf-sponsored program or event constitutes the voluntary consent of the user, participant or attendee, or his or her parent or legal guardian if he or she is a minor, to (a) be photographed, filmed or video-recorded by a EWCDA representative at the park, facility, program or event; and (b) the reproduction and use of all such photographs, digital images, films and likenesses taken at the park, facility, program or event for publicity purposes in publications, brochures, advertisements, promotional and marketing materials and all other media venues, all without further notice or compensation to the user, participant or attendee or his or her parent or legal guardian if he or she is a minor.


Please note that events in The Park organized by a third party such as festivals, fundraisers, private parties, weddings and organized sports may have rules prohibiting attendees from bringing coolers, food, or alcohol to their event(s). Please contact the event organizer for specifics.


Organized team sports and ball games are not permitted in the public spaces without written permission from Eastern Wharf management.


Bikes must be walked through the Park at Eastern Wharf and on all sidewalks. Motorized vehicles, including e-bikes, scooters, and other motorized transportation not required for personal mobility are prohibited.


Flowers and plants are to be enjoyed by all; picking them or removing plant material is not allowed. You’re also welcome to observe any wildlife that happens to wander into Eastern Wharf, but feeding them is prohibited.


The following are permitted only with written permission from Eastern Wharf management:

  • Amplified sound

  • Commercial activity

  • Solicitation

  • Open flame grilling or any cooking activity

  • Flying kites or drones

  • Attaching or affixing items to any trees, walls, furnishings, plantings, fences, and other structures


The following are not permitted in the public spaces of Eastern Wharf:

  • Skateboards

  • Fireworks or pyrotechnics of any kind

  • Glitter, confetti, spray paint, glue guns, paint balls, etc

Visitors to Eastern Wharf must also comply with all relevant regulations enacted by the City of Savannah.
